What is the Nordic Dharma Festival?

The Nordic Dharma Festival is open to everyone. Enjoy an inspiring weekend, with people from all over the Nordic region, developing inner peace through the practices of meditation and modern Buddhism.

Come away refreshed, energized and inspired – equipped with powerful inner tools to transform your everyday life into a joyful and meaningful spiritual journey.  In this way, you can bring happiness to both yourself and to those that you live and work with.

The festival is a wonderful and rare opportunity to receive practical and inspiring teachings from internationally renowned Teacher and Buddhist monk Gen-la Kelsang Jampa. Gen-la Dekyong is the Deputy General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition, and regularly travels around the world teaching. We will also have the opportunity to take these teachings to heart through special guided meditations led by Gen Kelsang Tubchen, the National Spiritual Director of the NKT in the Nordic region.

The festival will be taught in clear and easy to understand English.

International Temples Project:

All profits raised by the festival are dedicated for public benefit to the International Temples Project (ITP) which was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The ITP fund is used for the development of the Kadampa Meditation Centers and Temple Projects throughout the world. These Buddhist Centre and Temples are dedicated to world peace and everyone is welcome to visit them and enjoy the peace and tranquility they provide.
